VANDAUD hails from the deep fjords and cold mountains on the west coast of Norway. Reflecting the landscape of their origin area of Nordfjord, the two-piece combines some freezing, raw and harsh Norskmetal with a huge touch of melody. Lyrically, the five songs on "Vestland" convey stories of nature, Norwegian folklore and fantasy. Originally released digital in November 2022, this little native Nordic highlight finally gets a limited physical run by CNB. "Vestland" appeals to all fans of nature driven Norwegian Black Metal Art along the lines of KAMPFAR, MYRKGRAV, MOCK, SKAUR, old HELHEIM, WINDIR and early BORKNAGAR.
